ABOUT US
1. WHO: We are a Christian family based organization, founded by Alan & Andrea Hunter. We author all content seen or sold on this site. The Hunters have 2 children- Austin, age 10, and Alana, age 6 years. Andrea received a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida, and authors all of the lesson plans and devotions featured on this site. Alan received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of South Florida and serves as the webmaster for this site. To see what we look like, click here.
2. WHAT: We offer a wide variety of resources for homeschooling parents, such as lesson plans in all subjects, supplies, devotions, and a supporting newsletter to offer encouragement to all parents. We also feature links to other sites for services which we cannot provide at this time.
3. WHERE: We are based in Southwest Florida, where we have lived for more than 13 years.
4. WHEN: We update this site on a weekly basis.
5. HOW: We currently serve only via the internet.
6. WHY: Ahhh, there's the big question.... We began Timberwolf Homeschool Resources® after years of witnessing the plight of our public school system. Andrea taught as a substitute teacher for a few years at all grade levels, and became disenchanted with the system, feeling as if her hands were tied. We decided early in our marriage that we would homeschool our children, if possible. Andrea continued writing lesson plans, and has taught first, second, and third graders in Sunday School. We are members of Liberty Community (Baptist) Church in Port Charlotte. We hope to provide other parents who are like-minded with the knowledge and resources to teach their children at home.
7. Funding Information:
We view Timberwolf Homeschool Resources as a ministry,
and we do not charge for any of our lesson plans. We pay for the domain name, and do all website design.
A friend has graciously offered to host this site on his server at no cost to
us. Andrea and
myself (Alan) are both employed full time in other jobs, so we do not rely on
this site in any way for income. We work
on the newsletter in our spare time.
No other companies or websites have paid us to
advertise on our site, and we would prefer to keep it that way. We are
involved in an affiliate program with Amazon.com, but we have yet
to collect any money from this affiliation. Also, Alta Vista discontinued
its affiliate program recently, before we received any commission from them,
which would have been minimal anyway. We leave the links to Alta Vista up
on the site because we still think they are one of the best search engines, and
the foreign language translator is just too cool.
If you have found our site helpful in any way, and you
wish to help support our efforts, you may send donations to:
THS Resources, c/o Andrea Hunter

Checks and money orders should be made out to Andrea Hunter
Unfortunately, your donations are not tax-deductible at this time,
because we have to pay taxes.
Other ways to support us:
We are driven by a desire to help as many families as
possible. We appreciate your prayers and your word-of-mouth
advertising. A great many of our subscribers have told us that they
were referred by a friend or relative. Even though this website and our
newsletter cost us money to provide, we really enjoy doing it. We
appreciate your feedback on the site and the newsletter, both positive and
negative (especially the positive!) This helps us to know what we are
doing right- and what we are not doing right. If you have any suggestions
that you feel would improve the site or newsletter, please e-mail us and let us
know. All suggestions to add links are considered, but are carefully
scrutinized to determine whether they would reflect the values of our
organization, would be of benefit to a great number of our site's visitors and
newsletter subscribers, and will stand the test of time.
Our lesson plans are written fresh every week, and we are
always looking for more topics. We do take requests. If you have a
specific topic, person or theme you would like to see a lesson plan on, just let
us know, and if possible, we will research the topic and prepare a lesson plan
that will appear in a future edition of our newsletter, all at no cost to
you. If that sounds too good to be true, God bless you. If you
really feel guilty, you may send donations to the above address.
Acknowledgements: We thank God for blessing us
with the ability to create this ministry to help others. We thank all of
our subscribers (over 200 at last count) for making us one of the most popular
homeschooling newsletters on the web.
Also, we would like to thank a good friend, bobsled (ICQ
1685760, AOL-IM "bobbsledd") for offering to host this site on his
server, and for technical assistance, both at no cost to us.
